Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback is an interactive, non-invasive, medication-free treatment method that uses various neuroimaging techniques to obtain and assess brain functioning in real-time. This treatment modality enables a person to regulate brain activity and strengthen their brain functioning. Unlike the more commonly used one or two-electrode neurofeedback protocols, at Nelmar Health Centers, we utilize a state-of-the-art 19-channel z-score LORETA Neurofeedback

 

EEG Neurofeedback has a long history and has been successfully applied to the treatment of a variety of brain dysfunctions including epilepsy and seizure disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), substance use/abuse disorders, depressive and anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, PTSD and many other. EEG Neurofeedback has also shown exceptional results in achieving deep relaxation, creative performance enhancement, cognitive enhancement, and emotion regulation. Neurofeedback can be used as an independent treatment option or combined with other modalities as part of a more comprehensive treatment program. It is offered to children, adolescents, and adults of all ages.
